The Institute

The demand for cosmetic surgery continues to grow every year. The development of new techniques has minimized the risk of complications and inconvenience for the patient. In fact, because plastic surgery does not touch any major organ of the body, the risks of serious complications is kept to a minimal level.

The reduction in risk, cost and recovery time are all factors that have led to more and more people consulting with a surgeon for personal appearance enhancement. Cosmetic surgery can also have a positive effect on a person's ability to interact both socially and professionally. A qualified plastic surgeon will advise the patient as to the possibilities for physical enhancement of their appearance, and will also point out the limitations of surgery.

The Montreal Institute of Cosmetic Surgery was founded by Dr Paule Regnault, a pioneer of international reknown in cosmetic surgery. In 1988, she joined Dr Gilles Frenette when he built his Sherbrooke Street facility. This ambulatory facility has been designed and equipped to the highest standard for the safety of our patients. Our facility meets the standards of the numerous associations for accreditation of ambulatory surgery facilities. Not many facilities can match our high standards.
